LEADERSHIP - LESSON ONE
Entering Into Your Purpose
You will need your Bible and a pen & notebook to complete these lessons. You should be able to copy and paste these outlines to your word processor and print them without difficulty if you so desire. We recommend you record in your note book deep thoughts or questions that may arise as you study, and certainly record all things God reveals to your heart. Look over these notes frequently and use them even as you pray. God will cause you to grow in wisdom and understanding. Keep your note book with you throughout the day as much
as possible to record all God reveals to you and to review the things you have learned.
We also recommend you make a habit of memorizing a scripture each week. This not only helps get the Word deep in your heart, but is also an excellent mental exercise.
YOUR DESTINY - ENTERING INTO YOUR PURPOSE
Spotlight scripture: Psalm 8:4-6
Psalm 8:4-6
~verse 4 - Man is on God’s mind (He never changes!!)
~verse 5 - 'the angels' translated from the word 'Elohim', in every other verse it is found is translated as GOD! We
are made in His image, in His likeness.
~verse 6 - Made to have dominion over the works of God’s hands! (it does not get any plainer than this!)
You were made to operate in authority over creation.
Today we will learn that we are not limited to operate according to our
circumstances, education or past experience, but are to operate in the will and the power of God.
Your future is not written yet. Today is always the first day of the rest of your life. You can turn a new leaf! You can teach an old dog new tricks.
You truly can enter in to God’s perfect plan for your life.
Here are a few things to know that will help get you to where you ought to be…In God’s plan for your life!
Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; but the earth He has given to the children of men.
This world, our world, is up to us to shape and flavor. As born again believers we are it’s salt. It is our privilege to operate within God’s kingdom in order to bring His will into play in the earth.
1. Hear Gods voice speaking within you. ( your decision - to develop ears that hear God)
2. Follow His lead toward your calling. (your spiritual compass)
* It isn’t the huge accomplishments we are to aim for, it is the small EVERYDAY little choices we make that determine our character. These are the things, when done right year after year, lead us into the greater things God has in store.
Sadly, many never get there as they allow offence or harbor unforgivness, or refuse to do the little things that will help them develop their God given gifts.
GOD DOESN’T CALL THE QUALIFIED, HE QUALIFIES THE CALLED.
We are all called, but few are chosen, and these decisions to walk in God’s plans and purposes are ours to make, and they are the determining factor as to whether we are chosen or not. We can disqualify ourselves through a little disobedience, or we qualify due to our making right choices.
3. Keep a kingdom of God mindedness in ALL areas of your life.
Your thought life matters immensely - stay focused
4. Keep your flesh under control!
Don’t allow sin to slow down your progress toward your destiny! (flesh man crucified with Christ, nevertheless
I live…)
“If you could kick the person in the seat of the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn’t sit for a month.”
Theodore Roosevelt
Galatians 6:9 Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
